THREE TO MANY?
I absolutely adore my best friend- she is a great person who only deserves the best in all that life has to offer. Of course like any good bff, I get extremely mad when she dates guys who are no where near her level. So, when she told me she was dating a lawyer-I couldn't have been any happier for her-until I met him that is......
It all began a few weeks ago when she came to nyc for a work event that she was the head of-I went to support her and met her "boo" for the first time. He was ok looking, dressed nicely, and tall enough...I had no complaints. He greets me with a hell0-and says,"oh so you the bff." I give him a fake smile and say yes as I search the room for something to drink. Dammit, I thought to myself, he's said three words and I already don't like him. (it was an instinct-i could tell he was up to NO good.)I shake it off to go in the room where the event is being held to find some seats for myself and my sorority sister whose also coming. He continues to try and hold small talk with me-making cocky comments about how my bff is his "soul mate," (puhleaseeeeeee) mind you he's known her for all of three minutes and he's already declaring his love for the girl. Finally, as if on cue my soror comes into the event to rescuse me from this, shall I say clown.......after what seems like eternity the event is finally over and my bff, soror, and I decide to grab something to eat-the boo on the other hand decides to go meet up with his boys. I couldn't have been anymore thrilled.
The next day the bff and I have a great time around the city and find ourselves at 40/40 to have some drinks and kick it after a long work week-I was happy just to be out having a good time with the girls..UNTIL the clown shows up. My bff was in shock-she had told him where she was going, but had no idea that he would follow her there on a night out with the girls. By this time-I was growing to dislike him more and more..so I greeted him with a, "hi stalker." (I know thats mean-but damn following us to the club..really?)
Anyway, just as I suspected this dude was NO good! Everytime my friend turned her back, went to the bathroom, or disappeared, he was getting other girls numbers-in their face as if my bff didn't even exsist. So all night I watched as this clown truly PLAYED my friend-and I didn't like it. His boys kept high-fiving each other, laughing everytime he was in another girls face.Of course I caught a SERIOUS attitude-my bff played it cool. Whatever.I later found out that he told her-that "having a bff like her-is the reason why good girls like you stay single." Yes he told her this.Unbelievable....I just think she could do better.
Am I being to dramatic?
